Nobody's Coming, Draw Anyway
Real quick, because I know you're stalling.
There is no guy. No discovery guy. No tap-on-the-shoulder guy who walks into your little corner of the internet, sees the seven comics you posted, and goes "ah yes, a genius, finally." That guy is a fairy tale you tell yourself so you can keep not working.
. . .
Tuttle Town has, what, a couple comics and some thoughts a raccoon would write. That's it. That's the whole town. I built it anyway. Not because it's blowing up — it is extremely not blowing up — but because the alternative was a folder named drawings_final_v3_REAL rotting on a hard drive until the heat death of the sun.
So here's the deal. The work doesn't need permission. It doesn't need an audience, a launch, a strategy, a "brand." It needs you, a pen, and the willingness to make something kinda crap today so it's less crap tomorrow.
Nobody's coming. Good. That means nobody's watching you suck at the start.
Draw the dumb thing. Ink it. Post it to the empty room. Do it again Tuesday.
That's the secret. There's no other one.
